A/Prof Luke Tan focuses on the management of conditions affecting the ears, nose, throat, head and neck, including thyroid-related issues. He is skilled in traditional, laparoscopic and robotic-assisted surgical techniques.
His clinic, located at Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre, provides specialised services, including advanced nasal and sinus endoscopic surgery and thyroid surgery. With a special interest in thyroid cancer, A/Prof Tan was among the first surgeons to perform robotic thyroid surgery in Singapore. He integrates his extensive training and experience to offer treatment options that align with each patient's individual circumstances and health goals.
A/Prof Tan obtained his medical degree from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 1988 before completing basic surgical training at Singapore General Hospital and National University Hospital. He then undertook his otolaryngology residency training in the United Kingdom, where he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. During this time, he also earned a Master of Medical Science from the University of Dundee for his cancer research on P53 and angiogenesis in laryngeal cancer.
